Krystal Ball

Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24, 1981) is an American political commentator, journalist, author, and media entrepreneur. She co-hosts Breaking Points with Saagar Enjeti, the fastest-growing independent news show in America. Previously, she co-hosted The Hill's Rising and MSNBC's The Cycle.

Ball began her journalism career at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland, after earning a B.A. in political science from Johns Hopkins University. She was the Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st district in 2010, running against incumbent Rob Wittman.

In 2017, she founded the People's House Project, a PAC supporting progressive Democratic candidates. In May 2021, Ball and Enjeti left The Hill to launch Breaking Points independently. Named by Forbes as one of the "Most Powerful Women in the Mid Term Elections" and rated by The Week as one of the Top Eight Political Stars of 2010.
