Those who understand the past, are most accurately able to understand the present and the future. This begs the question, how well does Rogan understand the past and the present?

I asked CHAT GPT to give an explanation of how Rogan was irresponsible to have Trump on his podcast, and this was the response;

Regarding Joe Rogan potentially hosting Trump on his podcast, the concern some people have raised about Rogan’s approach stems from the belief that Rogan’s podcast platform reaches a very large and impressionable audience. Critics argue that Rogan, who’s known for his casual interview style, might not challenge or critically engage with certain political statements or claims made by Trump. This approach could unintentionally lend credibility to potentially controversial or misleading information without offering adequate context or pushback. Supporters of Rogan’s platform might argue that the format allows listeners to form their own opinions, but others feel that, given Rogan’s influence, there is a responsibility to carefully moderate political discussions, especially with highly polarizing figures.

AI may not have been aware that as of today, 10/29/2024 Trump went on Rogan’s podcast roughly four days ago. AI was able to pick up on Rogan’s podcast being casual. If you watch the podcast, you will see Rogan was remarkably agreeable. Kyle Kulinski made a video critiquing it. Rogan gave someone who generals have called the most dangerous man to America a large platform. Regardless of the outcome of the election, Rogan will forever be denigrated by future historians for this error. Even if Trump wins, historians see the larger picture and the vast majority will never praise him. Historians can see the countless times he lied, the awful statements he made, his lack of understanding of history and other topics. Historians will be able to see this regardless of Trump’s current popularity with the MAGA faithful. Rogan will go down in the footnotes of history as an unintelligent podcaster, who although he may have been popular in his time, gave an incredibly dangerous man a large platform without having the ability to fact-check that man.
